This chapter really hurt a lot actually, especially when you understand where they are both coming from.
Yes it was a spur of the moment decision to say those words, but huuuu I felt so bad and hurt too and it wasn't even directed to me-

Always heartbreaking to see same sex characters in conservative countries, knowing that they will have face so many obstacles just too be able to love each other.
Tore me to pieces when they said they couldn't get married/it wouldn't be legalized. Brought me back to reality there, knowing that they can't be like "normal" couples.
Reduced to just being "roommates" and "best friends" when you want to show the world that you adore them and love them like any other.
