The shitty princes are the throw-aways. They aren't meant to be with anyone after the personality is revealed. There's always the new male characters that is then introduced for the female lead.
The non-shitty princes are the ones who are kept as male lead.
Some stories are just horribly written that shitty prince still gets with the female lead.
