I finally remember why I took a break from this manga. I love the art, the characters and the story but it just feels like her past life was filled with her being used even in death. And now that I’m rereading I still feel the same way, the church bullied her and used her for a war, her husband used her so much that it’s hard to even understand and it seems like the only genuine people around her rn are the kids and norra. These adults failed her horribly. But I just want to know why are they all so obsessed with the first empress enough to the point of blaming a child who barely even looks like her. Maybe I’m still not deep enough into the story but the emperor in my opinion failed his people and Johannes just was a miserable bastard.
