When I first read the spoilers, it was from someone who had shared the link to the raws and had also translated it from there. I was angry that the father and daughter dared to go back on their word and continue to not only dishonor the agreement but to go on and torture mc. But now that we have this translation, these past few chapters have a completely different meaning than what I had believed earlier on. Honestly I can't find the anger at the two of them anymore. I can't blame them for what they're doing now. Everything they've mentioned as their reason for torturing him is completely justifiable. They are in the middle of a war, where their entire family, as well as the entire country, is being targeted and a huge faction of their family is fighting off in said war. Mc appears out of nowhere with nothing to identify him, no proof of an arranged marriage, besides half a jade piece, and nothing to prove he's an ally. Nobody there knows who he is or his character. And if he's a spy, he'd be a pretty damn good one considering he has nothing to say besides what is the truth only known to us. Now If u say u agree with what I've said so far, but still believe they went too far with the bird, there being the possibility that the mc is a spy, naturally means the bird is likely a messenger bird. But even though it is a likely possibility, they still let it live since it was devoted to its owner. They, so far, haven't shown any type of bad Character besides that one remark the girl made about her being ashamed that her arranged husband seemed weak hearted because mc was awkward, but even she had mentioned it was just a first impression, meaning she was prepared to fully accept him as her husband and getting to know him. In my opinion, they really have done nothing wrong. I just hope that their characters don't get any worse and that when the truth comes to light, they'll apologize wholeheartedly for the misunderstanding and that they don't try to kiss his ass to get on his good side. In fact I hope they truly try to help him get back on his feet and do whatever they can help him achieve whatever he wants. I also hope they don't try to force him into a relationship with them saying 'well since it didn't go well with her lets try someone else'. I just hope that for the mc to not let this bring him down for too long and that it doesn't taint his pure character and heart.
