I thought it was keen observation and I was not offended. Just because a person SAYS a thing, even DOES one thing, they may actually want something else, even the opposite. I think the whole point of adding that there is to say that he noticed she was acting one way, but desired a different outcome. I guess I saw it like the person who says, "Just leave me alone," but they don't really want to be left alone. They want to be run after and cossetted and pleaded with. He's saying the way she dressed to confront him is expressing her desire to still be desirable TO HIM, for him to fight FOR HER, not with her.
But that's how I took it.
Assuming that a girl that says "lets break up" is saying "fight for me" is quite dangerous. When a girl says no, its no. The guy should not force her or beat her AND the dude that saved her should not assume things by the way she dresses. I know that there are girls that says no meaning maybe, but the one that saved her does not know that, because he does not know her. The way "he noticed she was acting one way, but desired a different outcome" as you said, was based on her style so he does not have any right to assume what she wants or not.
The character said that based on what she SAID, he made that judgment. Then he added about the seductive clothing as a second reason he opined that. So, he based it on what she said and how she dressed. He may simply be projecting or a dumbass, but it wasn't simple "slut shaming." She was dressed skimpily, and to many men, that means, "seductive." Whereas to us it may just mean, "It's hot and I don't want to be wearing anything heavy." To deny that MANY men think women hot-pants and tight, skimpy tops are on the prowl is to be naive of how guys think. Doesn't make it right, mind you. But it is realistic. Even the other character agreed about her dress. Two guys making a judgement call on a gal dressed skimpily for their culture.
The thing is, I get that's realistic. But that does not mean we should just keep quiet and be like "the uke just said some s**t and lets leave it at it cause that's how boys in real life think most of the time". That's why I pointed "hey, its nice that you have the strong character thing going on, which i'm totally in for, but that does not mean you can say 'oh, she slutty' just cause you assume she is". That is it. I'm no way saying boys don't do that, I'm just calling it all cause I think its wrong and it bothers me.

I don't think the "its over" = breakup. I think is more like his current lifestyle is over, the teacher is going to tell his parents and all and now he is like desperate cause he thinks everything is going to fall apart, and yes that could lead to a breakup if he starts blaming Senzaki, but I think the "its over" thing is about his life falling apart...
