I felt bored, skipped from c35 to c75. The story is reaaaally slow. Nothing happened appart from the ML confession. Meaning, what happened in 40 chapters ?! Apart from random drama ? It was booooo_____ring

The manwha is too bland compared to the novel. The scene where zahid crush into the Vatican was so powerful in the novel and in the manwha it's just bleh. No intensity at all. I don't like the Chara design. The intensity of their relation is badly depicted. I will drop this here at chapter 11.

I would like to like this one, cliches and all, but I somehow get annoyed with the MC and her weird floppylike attitude (not sure how to explain it).
Would you recommend the novel itself (lets just ignore the manwha for now)? And is it available in English?

The novel is much more +18 material. There is a lot of blood and gore. It reminds me of game of thrones in a kind of way.
So, when the MC didn't finish the novel, it's because the novel was to gore for her.
And when the MC fear for her life and being eaten by the ML, it's because the novel described in much details how the ML killed, cooked and then ate the MC.
The pope is also described as an absolute monster.
The ML is described as a manipulative psychopath. That is why she doesn't believe him when he fakes to be in love with her.
In the end, the stakes are much more higher in the novel than in the manwha for the MC. Hence the intensity if it all.
The novel has only been translated until the equivalent of chapter 11 here. Still, the story is better. If this manwha intrigued you, you will enjoy the novel more I believe.

I prefer salty scans translation. I understand sunny side up was the original translation group. And I'm glad to see their work again. But I prefer the translation made by salty scans which I'm used to now. I find it easier to read. I just want to say : please don't drop it salty scans! I'm awaiting your transkations and mêmes everyday (for real).
