Okay so the only happy endings I can see are that the old man reading the letter in the beginning was her dad and she was telling him how she fell in love with someone she wasn’t supposed to (here it means that in the end she did abandon her family to be with shinpei) Another happy ending would be that the old man reading was shinpei and they did live together happily but she did indeed die sooner than him.

I think it's a Shinpei because he was by the water with fireflies. Remember when she saw the first time those

That's a good point! Plus we now know that they've been exchanging letters with each other to understand their feelings or things they wanted to express with one another in the story.

Well I hope it will be like that...and not a letters between them in long distance. Like he led her go and she got married and fulfilled her promise but she still writes him until her death(by telling him what she is up too) and he is decided to stay at the island and that's why in first chapter we see "him" many years after with the letter in hands(chapter is show some older man - but who, is the question)

Yeah I hope not too. But I kinda meant like it was the last letter they exchanged to each other before she passed. Or like a secret letter she stashed away that he found later on and is reading it now. But like every one else we can only speculate who the old man is in the beginning part of the story. Just based on the environment, content of letter, and anything else if revealed thru the story.

I am too! Quick question I've actually been debating whether to do my research project based on this manga or another. However it's based on literature lenses. For ex: reader response. But I'm only hesitant if I can pull in other lenses for this work. As in which arc or vol I could solely focus on. Any helpful thoughts? (Ik this is random but im indecisive rn and need a second opinion) ( ̄∇ ̄")

I understand that choosing a specific arc or volume to focus on can be a difficult decision. I will suggest to select an arc or volume that has the most impact and depth in terms of literary lenses. This could be determined by analyzing the themes, character development, and symbolism throughout the story.
Additionally, you could also consider incorporating multiple lenses by focusing on different aspects of the manga in each chapter or section.
Other example: if you are exploring the reader response lens, you could consider focusing on an arc or volume that elicits strong emotional responses from readers and explore how different readers interpret and respond to it.
On the other hand, if you want to use a feminist lens(popular example nowadays lol), you may want to choose an arc or volume that addresses issues of gender and power dynamics. It depends on your research question and which lens can best help you analyze the manga in a meaningful way. If you will need help to brainstorm any specific ideas, let me know

I've always been into the Jerk seme trope, love how they fall for the uke and get their character development But This is honestly the first time when I don't want the two main characters to end up together. He really is evil I just don't see a redemption arc in sight. I'd rather the uke take revenge at this point. I want the seme to fall in love tho so that it hurts even moreee.

He doesn't seem this evil to me as long as poop head boxer torments Dan

Literally. Compared to the likes of Jaekyung, Sangwoo, Seungho etc. This guy is actually not that bad as far as red flags go. I have barely been triggered throughout this whole thing.
