its obvious the author has no more ideas left but has more seasons/episodes left in the contract so they are just grasping at anything. they need story. and conflict is story. even at the expense of their own writing and characters.

People need to understand the "If you don't, like- then don't read!!!" argument is for those who misunderstand the source. There is a difference in "This isn't my cup of tea" and "Someone shat in my tea."
Everyone "hating on it" are fans who watched the story change. This story, although nothing groundbreaking, was fun and tropey. But it was exponentially worse by the second season. There is no character, no plot, no sense.
You should be encouraged to critique what you read. It curates what you soak in. There is nowhere that says you can't do both and realize what you're reading is a train wreck yet still enjoy it.
That first partttt, I stay away from things I know I won’t like, I don’t intentionally go into things to hate them, but it’s a different thing going into something I’d like, it setting up my expectations as something I DO like and then being let down and getting disappointed in something later on and commenting on it, “someone shat in my tea” is exactly how it feels and “JuSt DonT rEaD iT” comments are extra annoying cause I already DID read it so what now, the label didn’t tell me I’d hate it and it’s too late into the read to drop it and move on without feeling betrayed and like I’ve wasted time and investment into a story, plus criticizing comments are necessary to BECOME that label that tells others what to expect so they don’t also go in expecting something else like we did
