this should be the end of story. all MC has ever wanted was to be free. free to do what he wanted, a privilege he didn’t receive growing up, getting married, or even when he took his own life. now with a second chance, being served his freedom a platter, he seizes it and becomes independent. he doesn’t bend to the will of ML because all he’s ever done is settle and compromise for others. if he truly feels resolve from the entire affair, this is a very happy ending. ultimately, it’s up to him if he wants to forgive ML. he has the control— the freedom to do that.

he’s a grown man. i understand waiting for him to come out on his own terms, but the whole family knows at this point and went behind his back to speak with his boyfriend. it’s far beyond the sentiment of his ‘coming out.’ stop treating him like a baby who will overreact. god, it’s a little ridiculous.
