You say don't force straight couple gender roles and your solution is calling them dad-dad. Mom and dad ARE cis-gendered terms, you know that right? Making them both dad is not better than that. How about people who is nonbinary or trans-gendered? If you don't want to read heteronormative stories look elsewhere, because you won't find it in yaoi. These are the creations of Asian culture which is extremely conservative. They tend to make one of the partners more feminine. They called them uke and seme for christ's sake! Manly uke is a rarity for a reason. Omegaverse is even worst, it's basically created because nobody wants to be bothered with consent. I agree with you. I find it annoying, but I’ve gotten used to it over time. It would make more sense if omegaverse existed if strictly male only societies, but women exist, and female omegas and female alphas exist (depending on the source material), so calling them equivalent to women doesn’t sit right to me, personally.
