Reading sm childhood friend to lovers stories, it gets repetitive (but I don’t mind obviously), however this story kinda took a different approach than what I usually see.
And the coming out scenes weren’t harsh, which is refreshing. I know we get used to the reality of being gay is a harsh journey, but we sometimes forget the opposite side where people have progressive friends and family that genuinely just love them and want them to be happy, so it’s not as bad a journey. I like to see that hopeful aspect in these stories of the “doomed gay” narrative.
Honestly, yeah the incest thing really throws me off in general, but it was really interesting to see these characters play out. I always appreciate a poly instead of a heartbroken love triangle, so it really won me over there.
But overall, it kept me entertained and it was a lovely story.

I think the hair is soooo symbolic.
I remember when we first saw Skylar’s backstory and I couldn’t really see him as our current Skylar despite it obvi being the same person, but it’s bc they’re different people in way.
Now that Skylar is going back to a hairstyle that shows more of his face and opens himself up essentially, it’s like he’s trying to be him again.
I hope they stay happy, only happy couple with bickers like old married folks.
