I think it's really difficult for author to do anything that isn't already predicted here related to Teach's father, he's definitely hiding memories from himself because of that incident, I think the only different outcome would be if the father killed himself somehow (rather than the teach killed him)
I think the author is making it very obvious with the teacher but hopeful it won't be that predictable.
it can still be predictable and it be good but that depends on how author goes about it, like I don't think it's going to be inherently bad but to make it differential from everything we all have read a dozen times before. I was rereading it and while like everyone else I was a little upset there's no smut (lol) it also makes sense to me. Hitoshi is 19, he's shy and not very confident, it makes sense to me that while he has desire for these things, he wouldn't be comfortable with it right away, specially considering Mah is older and is used to these situations.
