So basically, past MC split himself into two, one half is obsessed with the ml and the other half ISNT obsessed with the ml.
The PAST mc that is obsessed with the male lead wants the male lead to stick to the past, to HIM - instead of his other half who IS NOT obsessed with the male lead.
The male lead likes the other half who is NOT obsessed with him but is forced to go like the one who is obsessed with him through some supernatural will that is put on him by the creepy lookin one that is obsessed with him.
The main character is just haunted by his other half that is obsessed with the main lead, therefore is dealing with the main lead too. Since you know the mc is always doin something with the ml and hes like 'what the hell is going on, why is the ml behaving like this, why do i have some feelings for this guy'
Of course he's also going to like the main lead because he still is the other half of the other version of him that is obsessed with the main lead. If they turned into 1 person again then clearly the mc is obsessed with the mc and he wants to create a version of him that FITS the needs of the main lead because the main lead doesn't like the original obsessed HIM.

For me im very much rooting for the other version who isnt obsessed with the main lead and i hope that they don’t become one. I hope the past version of him who is obsessed with the ml disappears.
My thought is also same, i m also rooting for the modern version mc.

Unfortunately there's nothing to update since the author themselve has not continue this, it's been in hiatus since like 2023
The more I think, the more I get confused so I'm just going to... read it without thinking about everything. So far Mr. Jeong and the master are fine as hell I hope there doesn't come a time where he needs to choose between them two.
