This might be spoilers for some btw!
The creator gave so many side characters interesting personalities and backstories (which we btw never get to fully see) Brett’s dad, the director, the omega costar, even the secretary. And yet Scott, who has been annoying as hell, gets like three full chapters of screen time that no one asked for. I have a strong suspicion Scott must be the author’s favorite character...
P.s i'm not salty, it just feels a bit rushed. The author did a really great job with the character writing and made even the side characters feel unique in their own way. That’s what gives the story life and makes us readers so invested. But then all that potential never got fully explored, which feels a bit unsatisfying - on my end at least...Maybe the side stories will give us something.
I also want to see more of the main couple, though on their end I actually feel pretty satisfied with how their story was wrapped up.
I just love their dynamic right now. Hayden is doing everything in his power to push Brett away, even though he already showed his hand the moment they saw each other again… like, come on broo...
And Brett, the mastermind who’s usually two steps ahead of everyone, is 100 percent sure he’s getting Hayden back. I mean, even a blind person could tell that Hayden still has feelings for him. Yet when it comes to himself, bro is like a 1000 steps behind. He still hasn’t realized that he’s in love with Hayden.
And here I am, suffering through the flashbacks (I know they’re important, but still) and waiting for the rut episodes, because those are going to blow my mind.
Brett probably had to deal with something and that was one of the reasons why he couldn't go to Hayden earlier. It's kinda obvious that he was not loving their break up either already 2 years ago (i refer to flashback episodes here and Bretts reaction when Scott mentions him). Who/what was Brett dealing with could have something to do with the new witness, but no one knows yet who it is
What i love about Je oh is that you never know what he's thinking, even as a reader you question him and his true motives at times. So imagine being a character in this and having to deal with him. Like no one is safe except for my boy Seong Rok. Them all be beraly playing checkers while Je oh is playing master chess here, not even breaking a sweat.
If anyone cares to go into deeeep analysis, posters in Ahn's room are from movies: punch drunk love, trainspotting, attack on the gas station, the bittersweet life, kids return and mysterious skin. I feel like the author is a massive cinephile and the posters have some kind of foreshadowing purpose of indicater of Ahn's identity. A lot of tjem are about youth, those are kinda dark themed. And bittersweet life come on, if you've watched the movie it's pretty obvious it's foreshadowing Joo's journey. Trainspotting- focus on addiction - Ahn's weird addiction of pain that's goes being kinks. Also mysterious skin... childhood trauma implication maybe? Honestly both ML and MC are likely to have some kind of trauma. But one thing that all these movies have in common is connection and i think that is the central theme of this webtoon or at least what it's heading towards. Ok done yapping
Lowkey one of the worst bl i read in a while
Lowkey real. I was so disappointed with the plot and I’m ngl the side characters were really flat and the main characters didn’t really have drastic change just development of their relationship, let’s not mention the fact that this is practically shounen ai in the yaoi section . Read the Raws. already completed. Was good at the beginning but lwk gets boring and predictable at the end. Good art style wasted on a basic plot. The twist with the mc being the bit and the mc of the novel being the top was nice though.

Bad character writing and just chaos. I still read it all tho, so i guess this weird nonsense drama has hooked me somehow.
