If you guys are here to read a lovey dovey story unfortunately this ain't it. There's a lot of angst ahead and a lot of frustrating moments that may make you dislike riftan. But I promise you it's worth it. The character growth between the two is amazing and the plot is so interesting. I absolutely love it.

My working memory is very bad so these might not be in the right order I apologize.
Lize and Killian go out to get her shoes but all he thinks about is Edith.
There's a national ball which is one of the major events in the original novel. Smol spicy scene there between Killian and Edith. Also is where Killian starts to realise that she was mistreated.
Author goes a bit crazy so tries killl Edith multiple times. One is a boating accident and another sending a crazy fucker after her. Killian saves her both times. At that point the author loses control of the characters almost completely.
Ediths family decides to start a territorial war so both brothers go there. Liz, the duchess and Edith get kidnapped. Probably the hardest part to read. Edith gets abused by Sophia. Cliff comes and saves Liz and duchess but can't find Edith so he assumes she is a traitor.
Killian is PISSED and won't stop at nothing to find her.
Once he finds her Liz (author) tries once again to kill her but it don't work. Edith is finally recognized as a Ludwig and the parents are extremely remorseful. However Liz gets married with cliff but hahahahahhsha she's so delulu she becomes super greedy and spends so much money to be as glamorous as possible. Loses all the relationships she had.
Edith and killian move to their estate a bit far from the capital and have a kid. When they come back Liz once again tries to fool the emperor and fails. Her title gets stripped and she spends the rest of her life in a monastery.
Edith and killian have another kid and cliff gets married to someone he truly loves.
Disclaimer I suck at explaining and there's so much more to it but these are like the biggest events that happen but it's an amazing story. And seeing the authors downfall is the best
