Not really. The story doesn't really take itself seriously at all. Mostly because the blonde doesn't do anything other than hard r word, to which the other guy pretty much seems unaffected by. Looking at the 1st chapter verse Chapter 70, he's still the same old same old despite all that he's been through. It feels very lighthearted because of that like there's 0 consequences to anything. Not that I care. I prefer it this way. Since it's all fantasy anyways.
