i just reread this comment and it didnt make sense so i'll explain it properly my main point was why mention the 9th prince looking so much like the descendant of the late king it had so much foreshadowing for that but then forgot about that plot it would have made sense why he was kinda avoided in the royal palace and was expected to be obidient and stay out of line like it had the potentiol 9th prince and carlos were the same soul just cut apart by the penetrating eye dragon god yeah mouthfull but idk what to name him it would make sense you know? even if carlos did bad he also did good so maybe giving him a chance to atone for the sins he made would make him reincarnate since he was born to be a hero to change the continent anyhow iys 1:00 am i cnat think of anymore reasons im going to bed
Im replying bcs im so infested in this manhwa. But i think the whole point for why michael was always mentioned to being similiar to carlos was
1. The other sibling position are threatened (hence why the older brother was saying things like "you wouldn't achieve anything")
2. MC is being reminded of michael when he looks at carlos, though MC did not know it was Michael. It was mentioned in the first few episodes, and being mentioned again several time after.
The reason why MC even revives carlos was because he thought carlos looks like somebody, and the one that could potentially change the course of the continents (from his prophetic dream). Not because its carlos themselves as a person.
MC met Michael first in his subconscious, felt familiar with him, is being teached a lots of emotions. And when he met carlos, a man so similiar to the one he knew, thought it "its probably him right?" And years passed he saw Michael, but he didn't know it was Michael he saw in his subconscious, so he naturally only thought that Michael looks like Carlos.
I do agree they should've given carlos more redemption, because his whole schtick was that he wasnt good enough, not because he was inherently bad. He was genuinely good, and hard-working, but he's being consumed by the insecurities and fear i guess that he wouldn't uphold what the dragon/MC imagine.
I honestly really think carlos is such a good villain for this story, it felt fitting. When carlos said "Your very existence denied every part of me" or something like that, to Michael. Oooooooo i really like that line.
I THINK CARLOS NEEDS MORE STORIES TOO. A side story of even full blown manhwa about carlos redemption would've been interesting
Yo, you're so right. I didn't even notice/forgot that part, probably because it was 1 am when I finished reading it, but YEAH, it makes so much sense now. He thought Carlos was Michael since that's what he saw in the future, but it wasn't; it was just a very sad case of mistaken identity for Carlos's part, and fr, I really wanted more stories explored about Carlos. He really was a sad character that needed more time since he had so much potential, but instead, his soul was burned in the volcano.
