You can take it as a hiatus if season is too big of a word, there's a single creator working in this when it's a weekly release how much do you want them to push themselves for our enjoyment?? Longer seasons are usually 10 day releases with one week hiatus every 4 episodes
tf are you talking about did I say they should push themselves? the usual to go for any season were by 50 chapters with inbetween hitauses. This whole new short season thing has nothing to do with taking breaks it's about publishers not letting their authors work out their stories, they do not only cut the season but also the manhwas in general. So the reason why this got a short season too is not because of health reasons or out of concern for the artists this is something systematic

And I'm seriously asking!! 50 episode season with weekly releases is an INSANE rythm for any artist so in any case it's more likely that the publisher pushes for weekly releases with no hiatus than the other way around. Why would a publisher cut a story that's an original work and one as popular as this one?? Besides i don't think this story will be much longer than 60 episodes so ending the season here makes sense
it's literally the publishing scene brother I'm not pulling this out of my ass this is not about logic but about making money and unfortunately the editors and publishers have a say in everything. I've been reading manhwas/webtoons/manga for 20 years shit has been shifting and it is what it is. Idgaf if you believe me or not at the end of the day yea 50 would have been insane yes it's a workload but this story did need at least another 5-10 chapters to finish the season, it always takes several months for a story to return and it needs a built up.
Our sunny days is a weekly release and the first season had 25 episodes.. and honestly a similar season finale, better paced tho but it wasn't their first work. If anything the editor should've suggested a better finale but that's it (and to me it wasn't that bad but maybe I'm comparing it to the last one I've read - r2r- and that truly was a bad season finale) I don't see this as a long story so if the author was going to push forward they'd probably just end it in 10 more episodes, it's not like there's a lot to explore here, and manhwas usually don't go the slice of life route. Again don't understand how making authors shorten the season and the story itself helps them make more money but whatever
