Kinda don't like when bl/shonen ai etc giving the girl "love rival" because the amount of misogynistic comment over that so damn annoying, I know in this story when they're in high school realistically the girls gonna liking the ml/mc but with all other problems in the world why must always love rival when it's already happened before they're getting together?
I do recommend reading the novel, actually like how the abyss description in the novel and the relationship go. Also this remind me of Annihilation movie the way of their surrounding and people got changed in the abyss
