p sure it's a 1 volume kinda manga. both uke and seme are otakus. i think uke was a doujinshi artist and seme is the assistant. seme is good looking, with a hairstyle similar to Maya of hidoku shinaide (aka the undercut, but light brown i think) and i think he had a mole under his eye? lol.
anyway the story had a dumb energy hahaha in a lighthearted way tho drama did occur when the uke tried going on a date with a girl.. also at one point they did it while one of them was in cosplay..
last chaps was uke aka the mangaka was rushing to finish a doujin when he hasnt started anything yet. in the end he wrote about the things they did..

[havent seen raws] ok obv hes gonna be the kid his dad saved, dad passing on the duty to look over his son to him causing him to get attached unknowingly etc.
but im gonna guess that his family ran a ryokan by the beach to explain his traditional clothing. i also agree with the other comment that he has to be in a coma for the little girl and her mom to have recognized him as an adult.
idk abt the room tho, maybe he followed the cat there bec he was lonely?
