Wondering if it's better to read the novel first or the manhua and then watch The untamed or watch The untamed and then read both the novel and the manhua because I can and I don't have anything better to do. Well, I actually have but I'll postpone it until the quarantine comes to an end cuz' I'm a lazy potato.

Watch the untamed first (you'll love the casts) so that when you read the original story (novel) later, you won't compared much. Because the storyline is quite different due to China censorship.. There are also anime, but haven't complete yet so might as well watched it after novel... I didn't really read this manhua before because it's confusing with all the time travel but I have better understanding after completing the novel.. Btw, this is just my opinion
Read the novel!! You won’t regret it. It was literally my favorite. Written so beautifully.
Start with the novel. It will give you more details, better understanding of the world and the characters, and scenes that were omitted in all other adaptations (smex, among others) then I would recommend watching the Untamed, which is relatively close to the novel aside from minor details and the ending. Then you can either read manhua or watch donghua the first series is close to the novel but the second one is a mix of the novel and creators imaginations (don't know why they did that, thou). The third series of the donhua should be out this year but with this virus nothing is certain anymore.
Read the novel first, then all the other adaptions will be easier to understand. The novel is the most complete, because it is the original.

i think all versions of the story have their own charm :) my personal fav is the novel since it has a lot more detail & its the original/what the author intended! It also goes into more depth about their relationship since the rest has been censored bc of china. But even the censored drama is great! the actors are AMAZING! So you really can't go wrong with any version since i think they all do the original justice :)
Always the novel then to the manwha then to the drama.
The novel has so many scene that the drama cannot show that if u didn't read the novel first you wouldn't understand what happened
I had troubles with the names when I started the novel. so I stopped and watched the series first (both lol). after this it was easier for me with the novel.
don't wonder, it is way better to read the novel! the novel is the best! and have all the sex scenes you ever want.
I'm horrified and traumatizated with this. I don't know if it's bc' I'm kind of sensitive but I am disgusted and sweating cold I definitely won't read it again (I didn't even finish in reality I just started bc' a lot o people were talking about how it fucked their minds so I wanted to know if they were just being a drama queen or not but... I REGRET COMING HERE). I'll find a church to purify myself and try to forget THIS for once and all.

Yeah, that's why I said that maybe I'm the problem, being sensitive and all but anyways I'm really impressed that there are people who can handle it easily bc if I continue reading I'll have to at least stop from time to time to think about my life, my decisions and why am I still reading if I know I can't with this type of thing in general.
