Ning Ye is disgusting, and to those people who are most likely defending him since he's attractive, yes, I know Su Mu deceived him. I hope Su Mu doesn't forgive him easily, since Ning Ye doesn't deserve it.

İs he even attractive? Like i m sorry but he looks like a egglephant

Okay well idk where you left off but, i’ll just put it out there right now since these were from the first season: Joowon never manipulated haesoo. Just because haesoo is insecure af + self-victimizes and narrates like jw is the villain, and doesnt care abt him, doesnt make it true ._. jw is the one always TRYING in their r/s. He did his best to keep them together by thinking this open r/s would keep them out of trouble, even if it hurts him how haesoo constantly sleeps around. plus he consistently makes sacrifices for haesoo’s sake and grows up a whole lot to realize how his actions and arrogance in thinking haesoo “cant live without him” is wrong and he develops wonderfully. Not to mention haesoo is quite emotionally manipulative toward joowon and tries to make him jealous and possessive and says he wants jw to suffer since he feels he’s the only one suffering (which is untrue). at least hs develops and admits he’s in the wrong too for his tactics. taku well... he’s got his own issues and doesn't fully develop. not when he’s taking advantage of haesoo’s sadness so he can feel “needed” and using his heartbreak for the cameras and just being selfish all around.

Ok but I feel like you can't defend Jowoon that much. He has his faults too- that's why people also ship Haesoo with Taku, because they like Taku more. And you ship him with Jowoon because you like him more. But some people ship Haesoo with Taku since it is problematic that they are technically stepbrothers and Jowoon isn't perfect either. You can see how possessive he is when he feels like Haesoo will 'slip away from him' and you can barely blame Haesoo for his possessive nature and the fact that in the end- jowoon did make moves first and didn't care for Haesoo's previous 'relationships' but what you say about Taku is true. What I like about this manhwa is that the characters aren't perfect. In fact, they're far from it, everyone has they're problems and that's why I stuck to this manhwa and didn't drop it. I wanted the characters to grow, and they did, making this a satisfying reading experience. And as you can see I don't ship Haesoo with anyone. Honestly I was hoping Haesoo would go to college abroad like his 'parents' said because both options were pretty bad at that time

i mean first of all: my comment talked about joowon's development and literally some of the things he did wrong. nowhere did i say joowon is "perfect", cause how can he develop or do wrong things if he's perfect lol. Also i didnt initially like joowon or even support joohae: but it's clear as water as the story progresses, how joowon does not do things *purely* for his OWN benefit and actually changes for the better. both relationships have their own problems, but while joowon genuinely changes and makes a lot of effort to recognize and correct his mistakes... taku barely? does??? this comment is long but it kinda explains what im talking about around the end: http://www.mangago.me/home/mangatopic/9517513/.

also: the dynamics between haesoo and joowon are literally on both of them so my point is: haesoo IS to blame, like... just as much as joowon. yeah joowon was immature and in the wrong for taking the bait and acting possessively, but haesoo is literally the one INITIATING and pushing that situation. there's two whole monologues about how he "craves an obsessive love" "wanted joowon to suffer" "builds up walls just so joowon can tear them down". haesoo deadass says "the relationship i manipulated". anyway, when joowon felt like haesoo was slipping away, the dialogue is more telling about joowon's intentions than anything else. haesoo and joowon had both described their r/s as a "tacit agreement" / "rules we abided by" / "if we didnt want trouble we decided not to make trouble"...meaning they both chose to be this way. nothing between them was purely one sided--- except for their breakup. during their breakup joowon goes like "why are you making all the decisions and pushing them onto me??" That told me: he wasn't trying to trap and control haesoo, but was genuinely upset at how Haesoo didn't communicate any of his problems, and simply decide to end things without even talking through their problems tgt, when their ambiguous relationship had always been this sort of mutual agreement. Like is he so wrong for thinking that?? Joowon could've acted better leading up to their breakup yes: he was impulsive and arrogant in many ways ... but really the moment he said that, it showed how he's not as crazy or horrible as readers painted him as. And every moment AFTER that point in the story (and actually even as a teenager in flashbacks): he becomes better and we also get a fuller, more understandable picture of him and his perspective. he literally makes so many sacrifices just for haesoo's sake instead of acting out of his own self-interest (unlike freaking taku) soooo...

I totally understand what you mean and Haesoo is in no way innocent and neither is Taku because honestly, as stated above in my comment everyone has their flaws. But a character's intentions do not justify their actions. And Jowoon in the end turned out to be good, I'd even say him and Haesoo are in a (maybe) healthy--(er) relationship which I am happy about. I do hope we get more chapters/ side stories to show us the end and a bit more about Taku as I feel like we didn't get as much about him as we did the mc and ml. (I just wanna confirm what kind of relationship he has with mystery man) (also I'm sorry that I overread what you said in your comment before ( ̄∇ ̄") )

it's all good! glad i could kinda clarify what i meant.

anyway, i mean it's not that the character's intentions necessarily "JUSTIFY" their actions. but intention and motivation it tells you a loot about who they ARE as a person. if someone does something with decent intentions, but it ends horribly-- it's vastly different someone going into a situation with shit intentions, but doing less damage as a result. in the actual outcome: the second is better than the first. but in analyzing someone's character and who they are: the first is clearly better. in the end though.... both need to fix their mistakes lol.

yeah im curious about taku's mystery man too~! i think he was a bit lacking in the backstory, and in overall development... but that can be made up for in a side story, so i hope the author delivers that to us.

Jooin's behaviour towards people seems to be similar to now. He treats people kindly, even if they don't return his gestures. However, Jooin is annoyed that he's being treated by Yahwi so rudely. And Yahwi is annoyed that he isn't like he was as a kid, obedient and nice, even though he was cold to him.

I think the story might repeat itself. How Jooin was treated from childhood might continue, and it might mean they will end up together. Or, Jooin will have character development, and refuse to let anyone to treat him like Yahwi did.

I love that the sexual assaulter finally receives a punishment and is humiliated. But, Taesung should talk with Haebom so there's no misunderstandings, because I can already sense something bad happening when he doesn't.

blackpink 24365 January 31, 2021 11:23 am

Can someone spoil it for me, will Wangye be hurt anytime soon? I can't stand angst if one is suffering, especially if one is innocent.

沈诗恩 January 27, 2021 11:54 am

Is there angst? I remember reading a few chapters and one of them seems a bit cold to others, and that he matched with the other character by accident.

沈诗恩 January 27, 2021 11:36 am

My only hope for Cain is the fact that in the cover, Cain is facing Jooin. I'm hoping so much that it's foreshadowing that he'll end up with him, because it's so unlikely that the asshole main love interest ever loses.

    Caryl January 27, 2021 11:37 am

I totally agree. Though Cain was sus from the previous chaps, he still is better than Yawhi.

The hinting that he's suspicious will most likely lead to him actually being a bad person, a stalker or something, and Yahwi will 'save the day'. I'm worried it will actually lead to a stupid cliché, instead of just being something as small as being jealous.
