Pls just leave if you don’t like the manga. Rude comments just make other people feel bad for enjoying something. It really doesn’t have to be that deep. It’s feel good! It’s not even bad drama/jealousy compared to other mangas. And these characters are KIDS. They’re children. So, of course, there’s gonna be petty jealousy and fights it’s cute either waaaaaaay
The people who are hating on Shizuma but saying nothing about Minato’s behavior are missing the whole picture. They’re both wrong. Minato’s need to monopolize him, the wanting Shizuma not to smile at anyone but him is unhealthy and Minato is AWARE of that. He is trying and it’s difficult, but he’s not innocent.
Shizuma works in animal medicine. It isn’t a 9-5, it isn’t a retail job, it’s more difficult to say no in those situations when he’s working with living patients. The directors whims, however, are things he DOES need a backbone for. He does need, in that moment, to say “this isn’t work, I’m going home.”
The reason for their quick resolve is because Minato’s jealousy was petty and Shizuma knows he needs to try harder but he isn’t a mind reader. Anyone that thinks their partner should read their mind without properly communicating needs to sit on that because it’s bullshit. The resolve was handled in a perfect way between the two of them. Expressing themselves in their own way. Big blow up fights and days of begging and groveling isn’t normal. It would’ve been horrible for the plot.
If you’re going to analyze a character, look at the whole picture and the relationship dynamic before deeming them shitty.
I mostly agree but I think the problem is that Shizuma has had a history of being too nice and friendly to his ex girlfriend and crossing boundaries that he knew would make Minato upset over. Minato didn't need to sit through the cafe visit or be taken home by his boss that he already knew his boyfriend was insecure about. Regardless of if it's pretty, Minato has a lot of valid reasons for his insecurities and until they get to a more stable place, it's Shizuma's job to try to be more considerate. He's getting more shit for it because as readers we can see that Minato's trying harder to make sure he doesn't screw things up or get in Shizuma's way, but it feels like Shizuma's not being properly considerate for Minato's feelings. He sat there thinking if excuses instead of just understanding that he shouldn't even be in that situation.
I agree with the cafe visit being dumb (!!!!) and something he should have said no about and declined the ride (just like minato saying he should’ve taken a taxi). I do agree with the validity of his insecurities, I’m not going to deny that at all, but while I do agree that they need to be on the same level playing field (the stable place you mentioned) and Shizuma should be more considerate, I’ve been under the idea that should be a two way street. I may be hung up on how Minato just didn’t talk to Shizuma and decided to disappear for a bit without discussing things?
All in all, I love them and would just like things to work out
Yeah I think communication is key 100% and that is something Minato needs to work on, no matter the reasons, that part is wrong and I'm glad he finally got things off his chest in this chapter
Shizuma said he needed to be told in order to understand, and Minato has finally told him directly what upsets him and what he wants from Shizuma, so from now on it's up to Shizuma to actually consider his feelings and take action
what boundaries? the only boundary he broke was him saying he was "weak" for his ex's smile or smth like that. Everything else is a completely normal situation blown out of proportion bfor drama. Maybe u could stretch it to the sweets thing in the recent chapter but it's not necessarily a broken boundary. The boss didn't even have ulterior motives. Also, I don't see Minato working on himself, it's always "I know what I'm doing is wrong but anyway only look at me". He still acts the same way. Shizuma gotta be more firm when it comes to his free time (shouldn't have stayed for the sweets) especially as he had plans but otherwise ppl act as if he should live in isolation bc Minato is insecure and that he deserved getting cheated on which is just wrong on so many levels. Also where were all those haters when Minato keeps being just egregiously biphobic lol
I also agree to all of the comments here, but honestly.. the behavior of the boss with the visit of the Café is indeed very very shitty. But if I would think that they might finish quickly (she doesn't of course, which he only noticed after her order) and his clothes were still in the clinic, I wouldn't go and take a taxi, I would wait to get my clothes back. That he had to buy new ones just to be on time was shitty, and he also had to pay for them/she made him pay for them. But it's not unrealistic that he waited there until she ordered and he also vented about being late.. (〜￣△￣)〜
He let his ex girlfriend be all over him and still doted on her even after they were broken up and he was talking to someone else, and Minato already made it clear that Shizuma's overly-friendly behavior with women made him feel very insecure and upset him. He's also not being egregiously biphobic?? Their relationship started off super rocky because Shizuma tried to deny Minato and what happened between them by claiming he was straight, which is why it's an extra sore spot for Minato. Minato is actively trying not to sabotage the relationship and is trying to refrain from being too obsessive or demanding or clingy and that's obviously hard on him, but we see that he's actively trying. No one is saying he should live in isolation at all, literally all that everyone in the comments including myself is saying is that Shizuma needs to be more considerate of how his partner feels and express harder boundaries when interacting with the women in his everyday life while Minato sorts things out. Shizuma knew about Minato's trauma and that's not an excuse for Minato to act however he wants, but when you choose a partner with mental illness and trauma, you're committing to working with that and learning to compromise for them as well.
Idk if it was the translation or perhaps I’m stoopid (very probable) but I have no clue what just happened in this chapter. Other than we probably just got background on how the guy obsessed with the protag lost his memories
