re-reading this again after a few years made me realize that the ending is not bittersweet as i intially thought. it's just... real.
exactly. back then, whenever i think abt this story, my heart aches bcs i always perceived the ending as unfinished. but now i know it's the most perfect ending for these two emotionally complex characters. whether their relationship progresses into the "ideal" one or they eventually split bcs of their differences is up to us to think. whatever it may be, the story ends where it should ends.
it was 2021 when i first read this story, and up until today yamato's line in chapter 4 about affection still lingers in my mind, especially whenever i question myself on how adamant i am on entering romantic relationship. i never felt understood until i read that, that's why i keep coming back here.
it's so simple but so well written.

it's an "ok" read esp if u dont have any other bls to go thru. i lowkey enjoy it but ngl i skimmed other chapters bcs it gets so boring. the story itself can be questionable esp on the fact that the characters have complex personalities and each of them are battling different mental illnesses, i feel like at first the author did well on showing that however it fell down (esp on ML) at the end. then again, im not expert so i cant say much. anyway, im just glad i can finally put this bl away after years of waiting.
