Kim Hee Jae left scar on all of his students but the only one that could scarred him back is Han Ga Ram. He is the only one that able to see Kim’s soul thus the scar, a mark to represent the influence Han has on him. I love how the author also use this scar to visualize Han trying to learn about Kim’s true self
Its not just that Garam could leave a scar on Kim. Kim choose to protect Garam and put his safety over his own.
