ITS SO DUMB TO START A RELATIONSHIP ON A LIE, especially if the truth is as harmless as "I did not know"
your man is a pretty reasonable person, i don't think he would have hated you if you'd admitted to it, and helped him out. obviously, i understand there's the fear that if you guys find a solution, he'll want to part ways, but it's also such a dumb idea to start a relationship on a lie.
as Tyrion Lannister says "A day will come when you think yourself safe and happy (in your relationship), and suddenly your joy will turn to ashes in your mouth." inevitably!
as it was built on a lie!
i realize it's a common trope and it's midnight and I'm way too invested
and I also realize that, Yeonjeong is a smart character, and it's not that he made a dumb decision, but a delusional calculated one. It's not that he made a dumb decision, he made one that in foresight he'll see as dumb, but at the moment, it might make sense for his character to try and control the narrative of their relationship
Since Yeonjeong spent so long having a crush and just suddenly had it all fall in his lap, he started slipping into a routine he never questioned, like, this might has well have been a dream for him, it's been too perfect. So, in order to keep the dream-like situation, he refuses to put any type of pressure on it, he'll risk the real and imperfect union he could have for the unblemished perfect narrative of a love life he wants with Hyeon-gyeol, and that's such a toxic behavior, it's a sandcastle, it's a house of cards
he's afraid he'll lose that for sure, and you know how Hyeon-gyeol was worried Yeonjeong was hurt and about to pull away? Like that's a logical reaction to being used and manipulated and lied to, but Yeonjeong didn't because he's used to receiving conditional love
he's used to being used like that, so the hurt about that part didn't even register
instead he blamed himself for something he didn't know, and decided to keep the peace through controlling the narrative by withholding the truth
and you know how in the beginning he said to Hyeon-gyeo there was something important he needed to say??? There's a chance, i'm not sure, but maybe he pieced the pieces together, and figured out the day reseting might have been linked to that shady app, and he was going to confess the truth then, and if so, then we know he's not twisted, but he's behaving irrationally because he got a dose of something that was only in his imagination for so long, and he's scared of going back to reality
I'm on chapter 6 right, (but i can already tell the rating is criminally low, this is good food)
where our mc gets fingered for the first time, and I'm guessing it's trying to be a realistic description, but manhwas copy and paste that part all the time like "oh no it doesn't fell good, urgh, I wanna call it quits *suddenly the top touches one spot* oh, yeah, this is the best i've ever felt in my entire life blablabla"
copy and pasted, each time
i'm on chapter 20, thank you to everyone who commented on this - yes, it is as good as everyone says it is
and i would like to suggest something. this couple is so fucking perfect. like i have a feeling, they could or could not be a couple again in another life, but there was no chance of them not being a couple in this lifetime. and I'd wager, that they would stay together for eternity even if they were vampires/eternal in *this* lifetime.
I'm on chapter 43 right, and they've fcked and stuff, and he's like "i'll keep her tied to me"
the thing is, bro can just go with her?? they're married! It's not even like he'll just be wandering the streets as a fugitive, he would be participating in rebuilding an empire, as its future king, with the future queen.
just betray your country??? like, is that so hard

Violet stating "he merely used money to gain my affections like he does with his staff and with his parents, I'm not special" is so insane, because does she not realize that those people are his lifeline, having parents be dependent on your money since you were three apples tall is insanely traumatizing
and paying your staff well so they don't go to a competitor is basically a business strategy because he doesn't have much else anyways in order to make a living
like, that man put her affection in the same category as much needed parental love, and survival arsenal, and she doesn't see how big it is, and dismisses it as "not special". what would be special if not the affections and loyalty he hopes to gain?
obviously, I'm aware that that's why he loves her so. He can feel that she cares about Winter the person, and not Winter's money, but at the same time, it's such a shame.
It's a shame that the author didn't make it so that the reason Violet dislikes him spending on her is because she doesn't want to be part of the people perpetuating his feelings of uselessness. if only Violet understood him, but no, she completely misunderstands him. More than wanting their love to not be tainted by the way he grew up, more than that, she hates the idea of being seen as an investment that never bore fruit. She feels like when he spends on her, he's deluding himself that he'll somehow gain something in return, and since she mentioned his parents, she must understand to a certain extent why his mentality is like that, but it doesn't seem she's ever tried to actually comprehend it. It feels like a sheer and unfortunate coincidence that her aversion towards his spending happens to fit into the thing he needs to feel warmth in his life.
It's like she sees his spending as proof that he doesn't care, but it is actually proof that he cares so much that it eats him up inside- and what a shame that she's yet to understand that
Violet thought he was only keeping her around because of her status as a former princess, which is the closest thing he could have to a noble title. That’s why she thought she wasn’t special. At the end of the story she realizes and decides to gift Winter a port (since gift giving is his love language)
currently on chapter 65...
I'm happy Violet is now this independant no nonsense girly,
if she got back with Winter, he wouldn't be her whole life, he would be her lover, not her source of happiness. But if Winter gets back with Violet as he is right now, she would be the only thing on earth that keeps him grounded, and it's so unfair to him
he deserves to have something(s) that give him joy in his life, otherwise, he'll just want to die and panic everytime he gets in a fight with Violet, or everytime anything goes wrong with her
it's too one-dimensional, and frankly, i don't believe the author will address that in the story, i think Winter is doomed to be this one dimensional character that lives for Violet

On chapter 28: the ml is so obviously a ho, like i can tell he's been with women before- and I'm not slut shaming him but idk, I find it funny
it sort of clashes with the good boy aura he has the rest of the time
99% sure the story later reveals that Erik hasn't been with any woman and is a vrigin.
Which chapter?and where did 1% gone
nope :D
