I really did like this one- it's got all the good points (well they could have put in more sex scenes but no one's perfect). The only thing that threw me off was Sakura...I couldn't figure out if she was a cross dresser or a transgender. But I guess it doesn't really matter.

    Anonymous September 7, 2015 3:57 am

i think she was mtf transgender :)

I don't understand why everyone says this is good. By chapter 6 I couldn't go on and just gave up. It was totally annoying. It's just a story about 2 guys who happen to sleep together...repeatedly. There really isn't a story other than one guy lives in denial and the other guy just likes to have sex with him, I can't see how any of this equals romance...or anything other than sex friends.

    Kin September 4, 2015 9:26 pm

A lot of stories are like that, two guys who sleep repeatedly. Of course, if you fail to see anything else in this story aside from that, then you really won't see what people really like about this manga. I mean, what I saw from this comment is an oversimplified version of the story (which is not even very accurate) that can even be used to describe other stories.

I cant say I agree BUT I didn't thumb you down. I find the system childish. It should be used for trolls or to thank ppl for sharing raws but not for mere opinions. Its crazy how if you post inoffensive things that go against the majority ppl get trigger happy w/ thumbs downs. Meanwhile thoughtless generic kyaaaaaaaaaaaaa posts get like 20 thumbs ups.

That aside this is actually a favorite of mine. Onoe is hesitant in showing affection but because of his reactions & inner thoughts its clear he loves Kabu. He gets more affectionate as it goes on & is even a bit possessive of him. The new guy really brings out that side of him.

I'll let it out, I love this manga to bits, but I get where you're coming from. It's easy to categorize Yaoi under " two dudes that like to pork and be porked." Not too long ago I was thinking similarly. It got to the point that I thought I was an expert in all things Yaoi. In retrospect, yaoi is simple. All you need is some dudes, a nice, classic boy-meets- boy plot, and throw in a sex scene. Now wrap it up with a pretty bow and you're on your way to making a semi-memorable yaoi manga. Honestly I praise yaoi more for art-styles nowadays. You can find the same storyline in yaoi told twenty different ways...in the end it's all the same. No hard feelings. I've been reading yaoi for four years. I've read lots and I ditched lots. Try to look for some hidden gems. Older yaoi is were it's at, I heard.

And yea, the thumbs system is as childish as it comes. It basically serves as a form of censorship. God forbid we actually find people who don't agree. Banish them, we only need 10 more downvotes.

    Shinigami_Gurl September 5, 2015 3:44 pm

Well maybe I'm a little biased as I've been a fangirl for about 2 decades (20 whole years)...so I've pretty much read all I can get my hands on. But since this is my main form of amusement (I live in China and can't watch TV or buy regular English books) so I tend to want a deeper story...even if it just a manga.

    Kuinshi September 5, 2015 7:02 pm

I've read over 500 titles of manga and the consensus I've made is that manga is supposed to be visually pleasing. You want something serious read a novel. You want something that makes you laugh because of the duo or drool cause of hunky boys getting sweaty and sticky between the sheets then you read this stuff. Most romantic comedies Yaoi, Shoujo or even movies follow a pretty similar pattern. So yeah. To each their own. By the way, I once made a comment that got me some thumbs down realized what I said was actually harsh.

    messy-mushroom September 5, 2015 8:52 pm

hey ! sorry you already had a lots of reply on this post but I'm just gonna add my own x)

Just to say, I actually can't explain why I really like this manga, but I do. And god knows I read a lots of manga that are all really different ( I don't care if it's shonen, shojo, seinen, horror, comedy, josei, ecchi, even sometimes hentai or whatever ) but for some reason, this one yaoi here, is from all the manga I had read in my short life, one of my fave.

I can't blame you if you don't really like it - to everybody its own right ? - but I can say what makes this manga a good one (in my eyes at least. ) Okay first it's funny at hell. I love all this author's works because she has a lots of humor and her manga are really light and fun. It makes me smile to read them. (but yeah, maybe I'm not hard to please on that one x'3 ) Also they're pretty cute, and not hardcore shit without plot like you can see sometimes.

But yeah, the plot, we'll speak about it. So it's not a very original plot, not a very deep story, hell, it's yaoi for fuck sake ! I can count the yaoi with deep plot on my right hand. (and the rest is mostly shonen-ai) But even if it can be a little cliché, the plot is still good. Why ? Because it's easy to read and the characters make it alive. I love the character's interaction, be it between the main characters or the secondary characters. Also, I just like them. They have a good personality they don't irritate me like some characters in other manga ( which is pretty rare for me. But, here again, to each is own. ) And characters are important because a story like that only live by them.

Also I like the graphism (but this is personal taste too. ) It's simple but esay on the eyes (and I'm drawing myself, so you can doubt it if you want, but I'm pretty hard to please on that one point. )

I should end this big stuff by saying that I like this manga for all this reasons. Because sometimes a not heavy heartbreaking story that is really nice though is pretty good to have in your life. And the last reason to me (but not the least) that make it good beyond all thoses others reasons, is that it makes me feel. It might sound dumb, but that really the most important point to me. Especially for yaoi, especially for this one, I need feels but not displeasing one because if I want to be angry or cry, I can reaaaaaally find stories that will upset me easily elsewhere. I read it to feel content, happy, have fun, in love and be all kyah kyah and stuff. And this manga do it real good !

It is sad that one has to specify that he/she didn't thumb down a comment while others who disagreed but failed to do the same are all still part of the suspicious pool that could've given thumb-downs. By the way, I simply found the comment above (entitled Ewww-) uhm... lacking. I do agree on the thoughts about how the thumb up/down system is being used. In addition, maybe a well worded or expressed comment deserves a positive feedback while a rude one should be simply told off by a thumb-down. Others outside or in-between, if you(this you being anyone) cares so much, just tell them directly what you think. Although, personally, I'm quite bothered by how some people mix up being direct with being rude.

Ahhh... I'm sorry for just continuously expressing like that. The topic you brought up had me going.

Don't you think it's kind of strange that Jun calls his lover by his 'proper name' (Saki-san) while his lover calls him by his given name? After a year of being together and even living together I would have thought that his older lover would have pushed for that 'next level' but he never even seemed to notice.

And I do wish they would make an anime and a sequel of this! So cute...

    rhye September 7, 2015 9:51 pm

It's common here to address older lovers with honorific 'san' some wives even address their husbands (and sons) their names with -san.especially those who came from a traditional family.

    Merry December 19, 2015 12:56 am

Is it really that strange? I personally think it adds to Jun's cuteness (=・ω・=)

Shinigami_Gurl September 2, 2015 3:03 am

What do you mean it's COMPLETED!!!! Are they nuts?? It got to the best part and ends??????? >:{ NO WAY!! I want to know what happens!!

Shinigami_Gurl September 1, 2015 6:41 pm

I couldn't stop laughing for the first story...but the second story kind of threw me off.

Shinigami_Gurl September 1, 2015 5:08 pm

The sequel to this is "Star Ni Ai"- I wish I would have known from the start because I read the other one first and then found out that this was the first one...so if you want to know what happened from the end of this go check that one.

Shinigami_Gurl September 1, 2015 1:29 am

I don't know but it seems like a few stories by this mangaka seem to end abruptly. I love her stories I just wish they would have a clear ending.

Shinigami_Gurl August 31, 2015 3:17 pm

I really liked this and almost cried when there wasn't a next chapter!

But you know this 'uke' looks awfully familiar...like he has the exact same look and personality from another story. I just can't remember which one!

Shinigami_Gurl August 27, 2015 6:24 pm

Not to complain but really what was the 'point' of the manga? If it was romance it was lacking, if it was adventure it was lacking, and frankly they didn't tell so much of a story as just described what happened. No back stories on any of the main characters - why those demons are extinct- why Chi was in a shrine to begin with. Through the whole 60 chapters I kept waiting but got nothing much.

    LOVEROFMANGA April 24, 2016 8:07 am

There was back stories on suburu purine, and komono in other stories not in dear which were plenty enough and they did say why lyc. where extinct if you followed the story closely, and chi who had no where to go find a shrine and stayed there because i believe she had a grandma like figure. It was more of a fantasy adventure rom-com which worked out because of the development of each character throughout the story like how purine gets to live independently as a strong woman and finds her true calling as the demon king(more of the comedic part), komono finding that her real strength is helping others such as suburu who now tries to right his wrongs(more of the adventure part part), Kisara now sees what he should be grateful for and not blame others and chi finding where does she belong in this world, and realizes it is next to kisara.(More of the serious part) This was the point of the manga.(▰˘◡˘▰) Plus a little mystery never hurt anyone.(๑•ㅂ•)و✧
