I think its because the art was somehow similar to Harada sensei who is famous for psychological and dark yaoi that some of us were expecting the same and was taken aback by the wholesomeness and all this fluff!
That's just me though. Great story!
Because if you read some comments, you can see that we were all expecting something really bad to happen (like, idk, rape, or agression ?) even tho the story really was amazing !
I think it's mostly because the art looks like another author's art who is well-known for, well, not doing cute and fluffy story
