And also, not a lot of people can simply move on from the past. It takes a lot of time. How would you feel if you opened up to someone about something that’s been hurting you for years, and their response is “move on, it’s nothing, that’s from the past”. Won’t you feel like they’re belittling your feelings?
It may seem like it’s not a big deal to others but when you have done something terrible and had/have no one telling you it’s actually not your fault, having your anxiety and guilt settled in deeply for so long to the point that it effects your ability to connect emotionally with someone.. that’s no small matter. You can’t say “that’s a shallow reason”, you can see how he actually wants to embrace Arata and we all know that he has a soft spot for him. But because of his anxiety and trauma, he hesitates. I hope some of you can realise this and try to understand Yukino, even the people in real life that is just like him.. give them time.. I hope he can learn to forgive himself and heal.
