Especially because everyone around me views me as a quiet innocent girl but I'm really not that quiet nor innocent at all. ╮(￣▽￣)╭. that was very interesting I read yaoi manga daily but had no idea gay men where struggling so hard over there IRL. A lot of yaoi manga really are sweetened up to cater to the fetishishes of straight woman that kind of makes me sad

Well...Others have already mentioned some great ones! Plz do watch those. I'll just add a bit more to that list -
=>Millennium actress (Heart wrenching but 1 of the most Beautiful love stories I have ever watched/read)
=>Gin-iro no kami no Agito (Unique, post appocalyptic setting)
=>Paprika (a Masterpiece!!)
=>5 cms per second (a movie purely & ONLY about unrequited love. not everyone's cup of tea though. I have seen a lot of people disliking it.)
=>Voice of a distant star (another heart wrenching story about tragic love by Makoto Shinkai with a mix of mecha, action, war, space in a futuristic setting)
=>Garden of Sinners movie series (Not only the whole series but, EACH & EVERY movei of this series is a separate masterpiece on it's own.)

You get used to the heat. I remember going to Hawaii as a kid, coming from a -25C (-13F) day into an 85F day (at Christmas) and our poor tour guide was shivering - then she said she would like to see the cold snowy day we had just come from and my only though was "You would be a popsicle in seconds, lady!" (I was 8 or 9 at the time) LOL

1) I haven't finished reading this but up till now, it doesn't have any romance in it (and it is mislabeled as yuri). It is about a female assassin who seeks to avenge the murder of her mother. It is really good you should try it.

2) This is one of a kind shoujo (manhua), amazing story and drawings ... and don't be misled by the first few chapters because :::spoiler::: the main heroin isn't in love with the magician.

3) This one is about a girl who falls in love with a boxer. I am still recommending it though because it is very different from other shoujo/ josei I've read. It doesn't have the usual melodrama or any lovey-dovey scenes ... and it is under-rated (︶︿︶) http://www.mangago.me/read-manga/bx/

4) This one is the story of a guy who is infatuated with a famous novelist but it doesn't have any romantic/ lovey- dovey scenes in it. It is labeled as horror but I would label it as mystery/ psychological ... and yes, he harbors a twisted love for her so read it ONLY if you can stomach dark-twisted-unconventional-themes mangas
