Yeah, I’m totally on board for platonic marriages. They may never love each other romantically, but they’ll ALWAYS be the best of friends. Marrying to have that kind of comforting relationship is much better than marrying someone you love, even if they’re bad for you.
i have to disagree... they care about each other and it could be great for both of them [if the archduke wasn't interested in her]. She's a slave so she really have no freedom and could be mistreated in the future in the hands of her owner. trigger is being really caring for his friend and in her place i'd rather marry a friend and have no romantic relationship with them a thousand times than being a slave all my life
also, since trigger possibly can't be open about being gay for him it would also be a win, since most people wouldn't pry into his private life too much if he's married
