Blue Sky Complex is a wonderful story. Like all Ichikawa kei stories, its characters are well developed and perfectly capture the subtleties and developments of a coming of age drama. However, the story must have ended where it originally did, when the two of them graduate. The official doujinshi blurs the strength of each of his main characters and abuses the original plot, without developing the relationship of these two characters or adding something new to the story. Not only did the drawing style change, it also changed the spirit of the two main characters and their relationship. A pity really.
