I really like that people actually have feelings here, they react vividly to their impotence in the previous world.
Yea they're all characters with their own motivations and personalities. Sure they don't get as much depth as the main character, but they feel more alive than a lot of other stories where the side characters often just feel like tools to accomplish the goal.
Seriously, his empire is no.1 by far, right? He should just bash about the slave trade like the British Empire did in the 19th century, and let his vassals wreak havoc on his foes until he tells them to stop, if he tells them to stop, as lady Olenna would have it.
