I don't really like how the authors often portray uke cheating or messing up in stories ? Like the fact they do not take any accountability for their actions really bothers me sometimes
What I find strange is that when seme cheats in a story or do something bad we all agree that no matter their reasons they should beg for forgiveness and truly have a redemption arc if they ever end up with uke, which is more or less well done depending on the story.
But when it's uke, it's always 'yeah but he was still figuring his feelings' or 'he has his own issues' or 'yeah but seme made him feel insecure' and then often SEME is the one who ends up coming back to uke to reassure him and forgive him
Like come on, I just want a good story in which uke actually has to chase after seme and have a redemption arc after messing up and is not forgiven because he is seen as the innocent fragile one in the relationship, but because he made efforts
I may be a bit harsh but I've just ended Anti P.T and uke's sickness in chapters 40s just after sleeping with another guy that seme annoyed me so much ! He could have shown Ml he loved him for once now that he has figured his feelings for him but no, he got away because he was sick, barely apologized and Ml was the one to reach for him and reassure him
So please any story like that ?

man i just finished BF and i was sobbing. it was just so painfully bittersweet, with his trivial death juxtaposed to how satisfied/happy he felt reading eiiji's words... probably the saddest scene i cried the hardest to. the others were faraway home ( the last scene), and a cruel god's reign (no particular scene that i remember, but whenever the mc spirals in hatred, angst, and self-loathing)
