Girl, I’ve read the novel this is based on. The ML was in love with his friend for 18 years, while the MC had unrequited feelings for the ML for 10 years. It’s true that the ML doesn’t recognize the MC’s feelings at first and is completely focused on that friend. There’s also another friend who’s engaged, both of them are kind of rivals for that same person.
As the story progresses, the ML and MC develop a genuine friendship, with no romantic feelings involved initially. There was a point where they almost tried sleeping together, but it was more out of the ML feeling like he owed the MC something after knowing about his long-time unrequited love. It didn’t go well, they ended up clashing, and the ML apologized because he didn’t want to lose MC as a good friend.
From there, their bond grows stronger. The ML comes to see the MC as a really good person, and the MC continues to support the ML in his feelings for the other bottom for a long time. Eventually, the ML gives up on that love, and later even helps the MC find a partner.
The novel really develops their relationship naturally, it’s not forced at all. It’s a proper slow burn.
This is an extract from the novel.
ML’s POV:
I shook my head with a bitter smile and stepped into the main house. Without even needing to look back, I could see him (MC) sitting alone on the wooden floor of the main house.
I hesitated, about to call his name with a smile. Perhaps he had taken a nap; his head was resting quietly against a pillar, and his eyes were closed.
Bathed in the dazzling golden sunlight streaming down upon him, he looked as if he might melt right there.
In the blinding light.
He was Sparkling.
“.….”
I couldn’t move a muscle. I stood frozen in place, as if nailed to the spot, staring at him without even blinking.
He opened his eyes. Perhaps because of the sound of birds, he looked up at the sky—even though there was no way he could see the birds chirping beyond the roof—and smiled quietly. His face, still holding that smile, suddenly turned its gaze toward me.
Our eyes met.
In that instant, my heart skipped a beat.
I had no idea what expression I had on my face. Somehow, it felt as though I must look terribly strange. I prayed fervently, for no reason at all, that it wasn’t a pitiful or disappointing expression.
Im about lose my mind girl, i read the novel from a website and at the part where the MC and Ml got kicked out of the second couple relationship issue on a heavy rainy day then the next chapter was lockkkk i need to know where else can i continue reading from that part to the next without having to pay I read on B2Bnovel and stuck on chapter 43

Basically, the ML regressed and turned back time.
What we’re seeing in the last two chapters is actually the same event from Chapter 1. The in-game Seonwoo was being investigated by the ML for allegedly being a spy. (Remember when the ML wondered, “How does this guy know my name?” after they bumped into each other?) During that interrogation, Earth Seonwoo was suddenly transferred into the in-game Seonwoo’s body.
In short, after Earth Seonwoo died, he didn’t return to his original body. Instead, his data remained hidden somewhere within the system alongside the watch. That’s why he was able to witness the in-game Seonwoo’s timeline, almost like he was a glitch in the system.
When the ML regressed and reset the timeline, the system pulled Earth Seonwoo’s hidden data back into the game. He returned to the very first moment they met, with no memory of where he was or what had happened. This time, however, instead of being taken in for interrogation, he was greeted with flowers, showing that the ML had remembered everything and chose to change their first meeting.
