Without the original plot from the one shot, which gave Gokurakugai a lot of potential, it’s really just like any other generic Shonen out there that plays into the same formulaic story telling. I kept trying to hold on and wait for the writing/plot to get better but it still hasn’t moved me at all. It really is just a manga with beautiful art alone.
Exactly how I was feeling. Honestly I feel like im losing the plot if there is one still. I was thinking how this manga would be nothing if the art wasn’t good.
I remember when i first started this i thought it honestly wasn’t so bad, pretty clichè and formulaic but i believed it had some potential. Unfortunately the recent chapters lowkey proved me wrong and other than the character who was revealed to actually be a girl using a transformation to be a male instantly sexualized on the spot is very odd to me and other than that i dont see myself drawn to the other characters where the opposite to happens with other stories i read. idk it’s still kind of early in the story i just don’t feel like forcing myself to read another chapter as someone who loves delinquent stories this got dull fast for me.
