I like to rate them to know if i already read them (i've read a LOT) and if I hated it, disliked it, meh'ed it, liked or loved it. The rating, in my case (and many others, I'm sure) is for myself. To remember ╮(￣▽￣)╭
Yeah ngl, it's not about not liking the story. Rating it 2-4 stars is somewhat a "it was okay but boring" kinda thing, I personally rated it 3 (which is very rare for me) because after reading hundreds of different yaois, this one took me like three or four attempts to finish (I read in bed, late at night lol). Simply because it was kind of a nothingburger. And even though it wasn't the best, people still have the right to express their opinion whether it's positive or negative or somewhere inbetween.
