Look I was very positive at the beginning... but the ml is so dry and useless. I get that he's in a difficult position (even ask king) but every decision that he makes just makes me like him less.

At this rate, I'd be more surprised if this exact bs plot weren't in a manhwa. Honestly, I love a good possessive seme, but this nonsense just cheapens the whole story. So many manhwas with so many different dynamics, and they all always end up in the same position... this shit show.
