I’m not sure why the emperor is getting so much hate by being called as a trash father, while reading I understand why the emperor is like that I am not sure with the novel, if this story has a Novel. But maybe none of you really took it but the emperor was R*p** by the empress so the empress was the trash, so I don’t get the so much hate the emperor recieve. Though I understand that maybe he killed hos brother, plus our omega boy never had a chance to be close to his father or the father was full of hate because he has a child made by him being R****.
imo while i do feel bad for the emperor i dont think his trauma justifies how he's treated etienne. its definitely an explanation due to what he went through but its not an excuse
I get where you're coming from, and in this case, the emperor's resentment towards his son ist "understandable", as he is pretty much a daily reminder of his trauma. However, instead of entirely avoiding him, the emperor felt the need to be knowingly biased to a child that's not his in front of the prince while also treating him very harshly. If he just straight up avoided him, I think people will understand cause that shows he's keeping a distance so as to not subject his son to abuse but he is not exactly doing that.
Oh I think I get it, y'all are seriously forgiving the fact he's a murder, and an abuser, you just said "yeah he offed his brothers, so what? Why hate him for that?" Like that's a minor thing to do, the empress is also younger than him, he used her and manipulated her into doing the deed in his stead so that he could act all clean and like he did nothing, you really don't see it? He was already going to throw her out, probably blame her for the murder of royalty, and get her executed for it, he would take away her title and destroy her family, she did rape him, it is bad, but she did it to be pregnant so that she had one thing at least protecting her and her family from her, do you think he would ever let her and her family who basically gave him the throne live afterwards? He was just using them, and it wasn't a repeated offense she had to do it to survive, she was desperate to save not only her life but the lives of all her subjects, all that responsibility.
This is why I hate him more, because he hides his true thoughts, his true horror, he makes it seen as if she did all that stuff on her own, do you think it is normal for a literal empress to feel threatened everyday and live her life on her tippy toes? Seriously? The fact she even has to fight just to live and for Etienne to live too, because yes, the emperor if he could, he would definitely kill Etienne the innocent guy as well.
So yes, I do hate him more. At least his actions, still because apparently y'all don't get the obvious, I still hate her 8/9 while him 9/9.
