She only asked is Peri was already in the know, since she looked so innocent. And Therdeo could have spoken up, I think, if he wanted. Or at least that's the impresion I get from how the panels are drawn. But he looked too shocked at her accusations for that.
Again, that's only how I perceived the chapter, doesn't mean I cannot be wrong as well. But the fact that it was her saying that she counldn't forget him, and that Therdeo had her under surveillance against her wishes makes me suspect something else happened behind the scenes.
