i don’t know… as a child similar to hyesung who was abandoned at such a young age, i feel that the author was able to show it beautifully it actually made me cry.
it’s so true that you feel conflicted— do i like to see them or not? that at the end of the day, time will come where i need to face the reality that i cannot avoid them forever.
i like how you never want to see them— but you do at the same time, just so you can show how much you’ve grown so well despite being abandoned and feeling that the the world lacks of love for yourself.
it can go two ways as soon as you see them: you shout your pent anger towards them; or cry your heart out how much you’ve been longing for a care of a parent who was supposed to be the very first person to love, care, and protect you.
