This story is so wholesome.
Not sure about the weird misquoting, though. Forgetting the fact that it was a frenchman credited with the quote, seems weird to be mentioning (and praising?) a freaking Nazi war criminal.

I just read the whole series in one sitting and now its 5AM.
This is hands down one of the best romance stories I've read. The story and the art are beautiful. I'm going to struggle to find such a well rounded series that can come close to this.
