This is just my take on what I’ve read so far, but, I think the ml was obsessed with the fl in the first life as well he showed the signs of it when he would constantly call her and when he dragged her back home when she wasn’t there. The way he treated her was definitely not right but I feel that the reason he wanted to keep her home bound was in a way to protect her (possibly) and because he didn’t want anyone else to have her. To me both of them lacked good communication skills which lead them to having different views on how their marriage life went ( him being that it was his way of protecting her while hers is that he didn’t like her at all) of course I haven’t seen his pov so I don’t really know the reason why he acted the way he did.
Also seems to me that espers tend to obsess over the guides they’re perfectly matched with. Like the prince was showing similar signs as to what the ml was having toward the fl.
Yup yup espers are possessive over their guides. It's definitely this. I don't blame him but it doesn't change the fact that it was a overly shitty situation for seohyeon.
