I literally saw this update and said this exact thing
I actually don't hate the ending, it's pretty open. Even if the characters don't end in love after some time, they will still be very involved with each others life, that's all I care for honestly.

well... yeah this is confusing hah but the cursed spirits are kalyans which are like guardians, they protect Rumelians but attack pretty much everyone else. the rumelians basically see them as being sent by gods.
