I read this back in 2020. I was likeeee 13 years old..I read up to chapter 100 and something. Im reading it again as a 16 year old turning 17 in may. The story is complete dog shit. Im not picky on the art style so I don’t really give a shit about it. I love stories where the dad is a scary man but treasures his daughter. I think that’s why at the time I kinda enjoyed the story.

Now, I’m so flipping irritated that she has no backbone. I’ve been reading manwha’s, manuha, and mangas since 2017/2018. One thing I dislike in female leads is them have no backbones. I’m dropping it again after not reading it for like 4 years. After reading “Suddenly became a Princess one day” AGAIN, I see how shitty this story is. When Athy bursted out and said how much him treating her like shit in the beginning hurt her. That set the standards for me. There’s like 200 something chapters out right now. Maybe she did burst out and express how what they were saying hurt her; but I honestly doubt it. I skipped to like 100 and like 80, and the brother still calls her a mutt. They’re shitty ppl and she deserves a apology. There is scientifically no way she never had a outburst. To keep her composure all the time is unbelievable and not realistic at all. There HAS to be a breaking point.

If y’all read all the way through please tell me if they ever apologized. I just can’t sit through the constant hate for women. Mind you I remember someone saying basically they couldn’t sit through the story as well. I was just like, “whatever”. Weirdly enough I enjoyed the story. That just shows you how much you grow in 4 years

I expected the emperor to beg and get on his knees for her, but to kill himself?? I’m just like, “oh he’s really dead”, “why isn’t he moving?” At one point I thought she was gonna reverse time or some shit.

I just feel like more could’ve been done with the emperor. The story was so heavily rushed it’s not even funny. She gets kidnapped; she cooks for him, he likes her dishes; meets the emperor, gets kidnapped; meets ONE witch; goes back to the Duke; gets kidnapped AGAIN, then everybody dies basically. All done in 59 chapters. There was no time to really like or grow attached to any of the characters. Weirdly enough I liked the emperor. I really liked his appearance. Instead of him being old and ugly asl; he was handsome and fine asl.Wasted potential and wasted time.

I love the concept of her being a witch chef or however you say it. That could’ve been expanded into so many things. That one “concept” could’ve extended the story and made it wayyyyyy better.
