The issue here is that she lets everything be because she likes the prince and the situation flavours her, the prince actually listen to her bc she likes her

It isn't, re-read all the chapters, the prince does listen to Helena, she has never tell him herself she may be late sometimes or no, because the situation benefits her and that position, having the prince's attention is what she wants because she likes him.
