Knowing Joo has such intense anger issues, heād probably be pissed off at the timingālike, 'Of all the days to get stabbed, you chose today?' or like ' didn't we teach you how to fight? why didn't you defend yourself?' You get me? Plus, we can see Dan is still terrified of him, which is likely why he chose those words.
On the one hand, I get it, Dan is always worried about others before himself (even to the detriment of his health and mental state). On the other, it killed any tension for me took me right out of the story for a bit lmao
