The light novel doesn’t say whether she gets pregnant but it’s supposed to be inferred when they finally become a “couple”

TLDR; she will have 4 kids with Lucio. 1 son and female triplets.

She gets pregnant after the main story is over. After Rosemond is executed and when the Emperor refuses to divorce/dethrone when she requests that.
She learns to accept him. And due to pressure from the nobles (against Lucio's wishes) she has to recruit a concubine for the purpose of producing an heir. Even her own father pressures her into recruiting a concubine. Whereas, Lucio would rather they "adopt" a member of the cadet branch of the royal family.

Unfortunately, the woman Patrizia selects as the potential concubine turns out to be a nasty piece of work. Who is arrogant, ambitious, and unwisely does not know her place.

She turns up to a banquet and purposely dresses over the top to try and upstage the Empress. She audaciously approaches the Empress to introduce herself , only to insult Patrizia by bringing up her supposed "infertility" and suggesting due to this she isn't suitable to be an Empress because of her "defect". Miriya is with Patrizia and can't believe how rude the woman is and tells her she should not speak to the Empress that way. rather than aapologise Petunia (prospective concubine) snaps backs.

Lucio overhears the commotion and is not pleased since he can see Patrizia is upset. Petunia is in charm mode thinking this is her chance to "impress" the Emperor but instead he inquires what has just happened. Miriya informs him exactly what was said by Petunia.
Petunia then panics trying to retract but then confesses she did indeed say what was said.
She drops to her knees on the floor in fear.

Lucio scolds her publicly and suggests perhaps Patrizia's choice in concubine needs to be reviewed. After this shaming, Petunia is sent away and she lives the rest of her life in isolation.


Not long after this, the doctor who examined Patrizia during the "Empress Selection" contest meets her to confess something terrible he did and to reveal Patrizia was never infertile.

The doctor had purposely doctored her result, because he overhead Rosemond (the one who was really in charge of selecting the Empress) say that she wanted to selected teh girl from the Oswin? family (a once high-ranking house now lowered status after the previous Queen got dethroned and are the doctor's liege house) to be Empress because she would be easiest to "control" and dethrone.

To spare the girl that fate he put down falsely that Patrizia was infertile because he knew Lucio and Rosemond would select her instead if that were the case.

He apologizes profusely to the Empress for what he did he sacrificed her for the sake of saving another but he felt had no choice at the time.
And has been living with that guilt ever since doing whatever he could in "penance".

Although, she is clearly angry and upset Patrizia thanks the doctor for having the courage to tell her the truth otherwise she would have had to agree to allow her husband to take another to bed.

After the news, she rushes to Lucio to reveal the truth and they start having baby-making sex non-stop. She gets pregnant around a month later with a son called Dylan.
He looks like both of them.

7-8 years later after Dylan says he wants a "younger brother" they try for another child only to end up with three baby daughters (identical triplets that look exactly Patrizia - to the joy of Lucio). The girls each have their own distinct personalities.

Tbf. Patrizia didn't really have a choice when it came to leaving Lucio.

After Rosemond was executed she packed her things and was ready to leave but needed the Emperor's permission.

She asks for a divorce and to be dethroned - he refuses.
She asks to be allowed to live far away somewhere remote away from the Palace - he refuses.

So she is stuck between a rock and a hard place. She doesn't make it easy for him at first he desperately tries whatever he can to "make it work".
I think eventually she warms to him to concede in order to make the best of a bad situation. Plus, dethroning her would be a waste since Patrizia took her duty and role as Empress very seriously and was good at it.

I think can't remember exactly its after the main story, because its part of the side stories and there is ALOT of chapters before covering different side stories that focuses on the Alissa/Janet (Previous Queen and Lucio's mother) past, Petronilla's romance (which puts me to snooze), The Duchess of Ephreney, The Alternate Timeline (where patrizia and her family were executed) after the execution, yada yada.

It's aproximately chapter 127 part of the side story 4.
