He used to be a pretty niche tiktoker in ‘22/‘23 and we became moots on ig + tiktok. We’d dm sometimes and he vented to me abt his life before he randomly disappeared. From what he told me, his parents were really abusive growing up and eventually his older brother got custody of him. At first he described him like some kind of savior but the more he talked the more disturbing it sounded. His brother convinced him he was genuinely too sick and unstable to function alone and needed constant supervision/care. Apparently he called his school pretending he needed indefinite sick leave, bribed his chef so he’d lose his job, isolated him from basically everyone, and kept him heavily medicated so he’d always be sleepy/dizzy and dependent on him.

There were also a LOT of weird implications like he said his brother hated him having privacy, insisted on bathing/changing him, cuddled him every night even when he seemed uncomfortable abt it, and got possessive whenever other ppl gave him attention. He never outright said anything happened but it definitely sounded emotionally incestuous at the very least. Haven’t heard from him in a really long time either. Atp i just hope he’s doing well and just forget about his password..

That's just horrible :( i once was entangled with a friend like the older brother, and im hoping that person was able to get away from the situation. While its obvious to us who's observing from the sidelines, it's never actually easy to just break free and get the freedom especially if one is financially dependent and has no other emotional supports sob sob

I’m sorry to hear that :/ and exactly!! I think ppl underestimate how hard it is to leave situations like that when the person has spent years making you dependent on them. In his case his brother literally removed every bit of independence he had little by little and kept pushing the idea that he needed him to function. After a while you probably stop trusting yourself completely :(
