This is so painfully to read - especially when you’ve had to let go of a painful ex not because of hate or anything but because of youth, pride, and incompatibility and you are always left wondering “what ifs” but you refuse to call cause the years are in-between and they probably haven’t changed and there is no taking back the change of the years… so you just let time get in-between without romanticizing a person gone from your life - cuase it’s the mature thing to do - although it will continue to be painful for sometime

Yes, Shuraka went through hell in the past 12 years but Tei has been kept in the darkness for what’s happening in Arnata and of Shuraka’s continuous affection for him while Shuraka received updates on Tei - things he did, how he changed… whereas Tei is the spouse of an unfamiliar man in an unfamiliar kingdom.
